Significance and Importance of Nursing Research

Nursing research is a course that I'm not familiar with, way back in my freshmen year. I never really understood that it has a huge part in our nursing career. And I was daunted on how it works because of its unfamiliarity in some research studies I have been encountered. 

As the course continued on, the significance of nursing research has been put into mind that improvement in nursing education and nursing management is possible through research studies. Little by little I have learned the qualitative and quantitative research methods and learned to assess research articles and studies. The subject is really useful on my course as the time goes by. In fact nursing research is very valuable tool in pursuing this nursing profession. Learning the basic methods of the subject, helps me purified nursing research and utilize standardization. I believed that scientific method can strengthen my profession. And through evidence base practice, cost effective care can be rendered to my clients.

A good way of decision making comes with a client care and prioritization.  Research expands nursing practice I believed that it is a continual tool in making developmental progress. This enhances the skills and knowledge of us student nurses until we became professional nurses. As we accelerate to a higher level, our knowledge about nursing research also expanded where nursing practices applied base on evidences we gathered. All the data gatherings, trial and errors in nursing interventions are made and elaborated. The goal of giving an accurate and qualitative care has been made throughout the skills and knowledge imparted to us by the help of nursing research.

Therefore the importance of research has a great opportunity for us to improve the quality of life, to strengthen the foundation of nursing as a profession and to support and understand the clients experience as well. Research has been a great help in seeking answers to those problems that has a great impact in nursing, not only those problems that seeks answers itself but those problems that are essentials in improving the healthcare system and improving yourself as well to be an effective nurse in the future.
