The Research Design

 

A research design is, a master plan for executing a research project. It is a model of studies that allow the researcher to investigate the relationship between every variables involved. This could also served as the formal document of the research proposal. It comes with at least four problems such as questionnaire to the respondents, which data are relevant, what data to collect and how analyse the result.  

As we all know, the purpose of research design is to make that the information acquired allows one to consolidate the certain elements of a study in a comprehensive manner to effectively address the research problem. There are different types research design but we got to choose one for our chosen problem and I guess my co-member has been presented already the design that we have chosen on her latest blog. Our study is entitled Barriers to online learning and their effects to academic performances of BSN Three Nursing students of JRMSU, during this time, online learning was now the main way of learning due to pandemic and it brings a lot of challenge especially to the students, that’s why we have decided to conduct this study. Together with my teammates, we are assuming to conduct this study using quantitative design and planning to collect data through surveys and questionnaires by using electronic survey Google forms and will be distributed via link through messenger app. Through this, we will now be able to facilitate the smooth sailing of research study. Research design has a significant impact on the reliability of the results obtained in our study. 

In general, research designs play an important role in conducting a research study for it serves as the overall strategy to consolidate the different components of the study. That is why it serves as the blueprint for the collection, measurement, and analysis of data in a research study. Moreover, study designs help the researcher achieve their goal in collecting and analyzing their data. The researchers all also assuming that by the help of this framework, we will now be able to conduct a comprehensive manner study to effectively address our problem.
